Faculty Bio

Dr. Maanasi Madhavan Menon is working as Professor in the Department of Kayachikitsa, School of Ayurveda. She completed her BAMS in 2008 and MD (Kayachikitsa) in 2014 from SDM College of Ayurveda, Hassan under Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bengaluru. She worked as Clinical Registrar at Amrita Ayurveda Hospital from 2008 to 2010. The title of her MD thesis was “A clinical study of the effect of Jatamamsi Arka in the management of Essential Hypertension.”. She has presented a paper titled “Understanding Essential Hypertension in the light of Ayurveda ” at the World Ayurveda Congress 2014 held at New Delhi. She has also attended various national and international seminars, workshops, CMEs and medical camps since the year 2006 in many esteemed institutions in India. She also has interest in research in Ayurveda and integrated medicine and has undergone a Training of Trainers workshop on Research Methodology, Bio-statistics and Scientific Writing held at FRLHT Bangalore. She has also spend time training under renowned clinicians like Dr. L. Mahadevan at Nagercoil, Tamilnadu  and Dr. N. P. P. Namboothiri at Shreedhareeyam Ayurvedic Eye Hospital, Kerala.
