Research Interest: Internet of Things (IoT) systems and communication frameworks, MQTT and CoAP protocols, wireless sensor networks, intelligent IoT architectures, LoRa-based IoT communication, and IoT-enabled smart applications.

Bio

Dr. Monika Kashyap is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Haridwar Campus, India. She completed her PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida, India. She completed her M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from Gautam Buddha University in 2018. She has served as a Guest Faculty at Netaji Subhas University of Technology (NSUT), New Delhi, and Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida, contributing to both teaching and academic activities. She qualified for the UGC-NET JRF exam in 2022 and worked as a Senior Research Fellow (2022–2024) and Junior Research Fellow (2024–2025) at Gautam Buddha University.
She has seven years of experience in teaching, research, and academic administration, with a strong focus on undergraduate and postgraduate education. Her research interests include Internet of Things (IoT) communication frameworks, MQTT-based IoT systems, sensor-based architectures and smart IoT applications. She has published her research in reputed SCI/Scopus-indexed journals and IEEE conferences, including the IEEE Internet of Things Journal, and actively contributes as a reviewer and technical program committee member in reputed IEEE conferences. She has also undergone professional training as an IoT R&D Intern, where she worked on IoT project implementation, documentation, and system analysis. Her technical expertise includes Arduino, NodeMCU, Raspberry Pi, MQTT protocol, embedded systems and web-based IoT platforms.
