Bio

Dr. Priyadarshi Amit is a dual fellowship–trained Orthopaedic Surgeon with a primary focus on the surgical and non-surgical management of shoulder and elbow disorders. He specializes in both open and arthroscopic procedures, delivering world-class care to patients with sports injuries, trauma, and a wide range of orthopaedic conditions. His expertise includes simple and complex surgeries involving arthroscopy, fracture care, and joint replacement procedures of the shoulder and elbow.

Dr. Amit has over 15 years of experience in Orthopaedic Surgery and has trained extensively in both India and the United Kingdom. He completed his undergraduate medical degree (MBBS) from JIPMER—an Institute of National Importance—and went on to pursue his orthopaedic residency (MS Orthopaedics) at the same institute, where he was awarded the Gold Medal. He is also a Diplomate of the National Board (DNB Orthopaedics).

He was awarded membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MRCSEd) and subsequently relocated to the UK, where he completed his specialty training in an NHS hospital. He earned his MCh (Trauma & Orthopaedics) degree from Edge Hill University, Lancashire, and later obtained his FRCS (England) from the Royal College of Surgeons.

Dr. Amit pursued an Arthroscopy (Sports Surgery) Fellowship at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, Birmingham—one of the five Elective Orthopaedic Centres in the UK. He subsequently completed an Upper Limb Fellowship at the Royal London Hospital, the largest trauma centre in the UK specializing in shoulder and elbow surgery.

He has served as a Consultant Orthopaedic Upper Limb Surgeon at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust in the UK. He is currently the Upper Limb Lead (Head, Upper Limb Unit) at Amrita Hospital, Faridabad.

Dr. Amit continually pushes the boundaries of orthopaedic innovation to improve patient outcomes, functionality, and satisfaction. He is currently developing specialized instrumentation, in collaboration with industry partners, to facilitate all-arthroscopic, metal-free shoulder stabilization surgery.

He has conducted extensive research on shoulder, elbow, and knee conditions, and has published numerous articles in national and international indexed journals. He serves on the review boards of several national and international journals, including JOA and Shoulder & Elbow. He has also presented at national and international conferences and has delivered lectures and performed live surgical demonstrations at scientific meetings.

Dr. Amit is an active member of multiple national and international Orthopaedic Societies, contributing significantly to the advancement of orthopaedic science. He is registered with the General Medical Council (GMC, UK), Delhi Medical Council (DMC, India), and Haryana Medical Council (HMC, India).
