Bio

Dr. Jayabarathi R. joined Amrita School of Engineering , Coimbatore in 1998. She received her B. E. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Government College of Technology, Coimbatore and M. E. with specialization in power systems from National Institute of Technology, Trichy.

She received her Ph. D. degree from Anna University, Chennai. Her Ph. D. work was on Investigations of Reactive Power Compensation in a Distribution System using Soft Computing Techniques. In this work, a laboratory model of the system for reactive power compensation was developed using artificial neural network.

She has guided many B. Tech. and M. Tech. projects.

She has got an AICTE funded project , Improvement in Transient Stability Margin of Grid Connected Wind Electric Generator using STATCOM with Super Capacitor.
