Dr. Raghu Pradeep Nair is an Assistant Professor (Sr. Gd.) of Law at Amrita International School of Law. He brings over three decades of cross-sector professional experience, including nearly a decade of active legal practice, spanning law, corporate governance, human resources, higher education, and entrepreneurship.
A graduate of Bangalore University’s five-year B.A. LL.B. programme, he enrolled with the Bar Council of Kerala in 1995 and practised before trial courts and the High Court of Kerala. His legal practice covered civil and criminal litigation, corporate and commercial law, constitutional law, taxation, intellectual property, consumer protection, and family law. He trained under the late Sri K. Karunakara Menon and later practised with Menon & Varghese Associates and N. Govindan Nair Associates.
Following legal practice, Dr. Nair held senior leadership roles in HR and legal affairs across India and the UAE, including Manager – Legal & Human Resources at Al Swiss Group/Ecotech LLC, Dubai, advising on UAE federal, labour, and free-zone laws. He later served as Assistant Professor in AICTE-approved MBA institutions, teaching Strategic Management, Financial Management, Marketing Management, Business Laws, Supply Chain Management, and Business Ethics, before becoming Senior Manager – Learning & Development at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, leading career competency and employability initiatives.
Dr. Nair holds a PhD in Management, MBA (Finance & Marketing), and PG Diploma in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations. He is a Certified Independent Director (IICA), Certified Instructional Design Practitioner (KPMG), certified in Design Thinking for Innovation (University of Virginia), a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, and is pursuing an LL.M. in Corporate Law.
His research focuses on corporate governance, AI governance, digital personal data protection, entrepreneurship, startups, and Indian Knowledge Systems. An Approved Research Guide at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, he has published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at national and international conferences. He is the Founder of CampusFounders™, supporting student entrepreneurs and early-stage startups. His achievements include the MC Mathew Memorial Award (Indian Law Institute, 1998) and a prize at the Karnataka State Moot Court Competition (NLSIU, 1994).
