Amma, the sole representative from Kerala, participated from the Amritapuri Ashram’s huge darshan hall, which was overflowing with devotees, disciples and students from the Mata Amritanandamayi Math’s university and schools.

At Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, the students had cleaned the Coimbatore town bus stand, mofussil bus stand, the road from Ukkadam to the campus and the Ettimadai village as well. And all this was even before the Central Government launched the Swachh Bharat initiative.

Mata Amritanandamayi Math organized a cleaning drive at Sabarimala from November 12-13, 2016. A 1,000-strong Amala Bharathom volunteers of the Math have started removing the filth accumulated in the nook and cranny of Sabarimala as part of a two-day intensive pre-pilgrim season cleaning drive at the pilgrimage centre.
