Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Advanced Additive Manufacturing, Polymer Composites and Adhesive Joining for High-Performance Engineering Applications

  • Develop and fabricate polymeric and fibre-reinforced composite structures using additive manufacturing techniques, particularly FDM/FFF.

  • Design and optimize 3D printing parameters such as print orientation, layer thickness, infill, and raster configuration.

  • Develop nanomaterial-reinforced polymer composites and adhesive systems using graphene, carbon nanotubes, SiC, and other functional nanofillers.

  • Investigate the mechanical performance of adhesively bonded polymer and composite structures.

  • Develop innovative surface modification, mechanical interlocking, and bio-inspired interface designs for improving adhesive joint performance.

  • Fabricate and evaluate hybrid and hierarchical composite structures incorporating nano- and macro-scale reinforcements.

  • Conduct experimental investigations on tensile, flexural, compression, shear, and fracture properties of polymeric and composite materials.

  • Investigate dynamic and vibrational behaviour of advanced polymer composites and adhesively bonded structures.

  • Characterize material morphology, surface properties, chemical structure, and interfacial behaviour.

  • Develop numerical, statistical, and data-driven models for predicting material and structural performance.

  • Perform experimental data analysis, interpretation, and scientific visualization.

  • Publish research findings in high-impact journals and conferences.

  • Assist in preparing research proposals, technical reports, manuscripts, and patents.

  • Assist in the preparation and submission of research proposals and support funded research activities.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary research teams and mentor students.

  • Support laboratory development, research activities, and timely completion of project milestones.
