Project Title Centres for Antimicrobial Optimization Network: India (CAMO-Net India)
Qualification

  • Bioengineering/Biotechnology/Molecular biology (PhD) 

  • Proven expertise in developing rapid diagnostic platforms for Point of Care testing (PoC) 

  • Strong research background with knowledge of molecular biology techniques

  • Experience in working at a standard diagnostic facility at a hospital or clinical environment is highly desirable 

Key Responsibilities

  • Co-develop, with our CAMO-Net UK partners, frugal, point of care solutions which are contextually appropriate and address local infectious disease threats, with an initial focus on diarrhoeal diseases.

  • Development and evaluation of PoC diagnostics(chips, paper based etc) for enabling rapid pathogen identification and resistance patterns 

  • Development and evaluation of PoC diagnostics for estimation of concentrations of antimicrobials with narrow therapeutic drugs

  • Optimize and refine diagnostic platforms for enhanced sensitivity, specificity, and speed. 

  • Collaborate across multidisciplinary team of CAMO-NET to integrate research inputs, international expertise and to ensure practical applicability
