Job Description

Real-time Embedded Applications for Control & Technology (REACT) focuses on power electronics, digital control systems, embedded intelligence, and data-driven technologies. The group conducts research on DC-DC power converters, grid connected energy systems, Phase-Lock Loop (PLL) synchronization techniques, and AI-enabled control architectures for next-generation energy applications. This position will involve R&D focussed on:



  • Advanced modelling and design of DC-DC converters.

  • Data-driven modelling and intelligent control of power electronic systems.

  • PLL design and grid synchronization for grid-connected converters.

  • AI/ML based control, optimization, and fault diagnosis.

  • Real-time implementation. The position also offers opportunities for industry collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct research on DC-DC converter modelling and digital control.



  • Develop PLL and grid synchronization algorithms.

  • Apply AI/ML and data-driven methods for converter control and diagnostics.

  • Perform simulation, hardware implementation, and experimental validation.

  • Publish research outcomes and support for project proposal submission


Desirable Skills: Strong knowledge of small-signal modelling and stability analysis of power electronic systems. - Digital control design and implementation for power converters.



  • Application of AI and ML techniques for control, optimization of Power converters.

  • Strong programming skills in MATLAB, Python, C/C++, and embedded programming environments.

  • Experience in experimental validation, hardware prototyping, and testing of power electronic converters.
