Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore Campus, successfully concluded the Agentic AI Hackathon 2026, one of the largest hackathons ever organized at the campus. The 48-hour innovation event was organized by the Atal Incubation Center Amrita Center for Entrepreneurship (AICACE) and the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) in collaboration with WeKan Enterprises, NitroStack, and MCP to the Moon.
The hackathon was inaugurated with the traditional ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Dr. Krishnashree Achuthan, Director – Amrita Technology Business Incubator (TBI), Director – Center for Cyber Security Systems and Networks, Dean – Post Graduate Programs, Amritapuri and Director – AICACE, Coimbatore; Br. Sairam B, Campus Director, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore Campus; Mr. Pablo Jimenez Godoy, Founder, WeKan Enterprises; Mr. Suresh Krishnaswamy, Director – BFSI, WeKan Enterprises; Mr. Abhishek Pandit, CEO – NitroStack; and Mr. Ramaguru Radhakrishnan, Convener – Institution’s Innovation Council.
The inaugural ceremony featured inspiring keynote addresses by Dr. Krishnasree Achuthan, Dr. Prashant R. Nair, Director – IQAC and President – Institution’s Innovation Council, and Mr. Pablo Jimenez Godoy and Mr. Abhishek Pandit. The speakers emphasized the transformative role of Agentic AI, the importance of innovation-led education, and the need for stronger industryacademia collaboration in nurturing future technology leaders and entrepreneurs.
Following the inauguration, the Mr. Luis Felipe Hernandez Mora, L&D Specialist & other Technical Experts from NitroStack conducted an engaging technical session that introduced participants to MCP and NitroStack. The 24-hour hackathon officially commenced at 01:30 PM on July 25, 2026, and concluded successfully at 01:30 PM on July 26, 2026.
The event witnessed an overwhelming response from students across institutions, with more than 350+ teams registering for the competition. Over 220+ teams actively participated throughout the 24-hour coding marathon, and 177 teams successfully submitted their final projects across six thematic tracks, demonstrating exceptional creativity, technical excellence, and problem-solving capabilities.
Projects developed during the hackathon addressed real-world challenges using Agentic AI technologies and were evaluated by a distinguished panel comprising industry experts and academic judges. The evaluation focused on innovation, technical implementation, scalability, practical impact, presentation, and overall solution quality.
The Academic Judging Panel includes Dr. Radhika N, Dr. Lalithamani N, Dr. Dhanya M Dhanalakshmy, Dr. Palmani Duraisamy, Dr. Premjith B, Dr. Archudha A, Mr. Vedaj J Padman, and Mr. Ramaguru Radhakrishnan; the Industry Judging Panel includes Mr. Pablo Jimenez Godoy, Mr. Suresh Krishnaswamy, Mr. Carlos Roberto Munoz, Mr. Luis Felipe Hernandez Mora, Dr. Kumar Rajamani, Dr. Nandhini K, Mr. Ashwin S, and Mr. Abhijith Girin.
The hackathon concluded with a Valedictory and Prize Distribution Ceremony held on July 26, 2026. The top three teams in each of the six tracks were recognized and felicitated for their outstanding performance. The winning teams received cash prizes along with NitroStack credits to further develop and enhance their innovative solutions.
Winners across different categories: Team Code Crafters’ ScamShield in BFSI & FinTech; Team V4’s Ekalavya in Education & Research; Team ViyonTech’s Reversible Agent Actions in Enterprise AI & Workplace Automation; Team No_Free_Context’s NutriPulse in HealthTech & Life Sciences; Team Zen-net’s ForgeOps in Manufacturing & Industry 4.0; Team Kernel Guardians’ Aegis Protocol in Open Innovation.
As a continued commitment to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship, the winning teams will also be offered incubation support through AICACE, Coimbatore, enabling them to transform their prototypes into impactful products and startups with guidance from industry mentors, researchers, and the Amrita innovation ecosystem.
