The Department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics, Amrita School of Dentistry, AIMS Kochi, organised Amrita Align University Day – “From Brackets to Aligners and Beyond: The Expanding Scope of Modern Orthodontics.”
The academic symposium brought together faculty members, postgraduate residents, and distinguished speakers to explore insights into use of AI technology in aligner therapy. The scientific sessions featured lectures by Dr. N. R. Krishnaswamy on Biomechanics and Dr. Karan Bhalla on Clinical Strategies for Expansion Using Aligner Science & Technology and Innovations in Aligner Therapy, offering valuable newer perspectives in contemporary orthodontic practice.
The event also provided an excellent platform for postgraduate case presentations, fostering academic exchange, clinical excellence, and innovation in orthodontics. This programme was conducted as part of Invisalign University Education Programme and Amrita is the first institute in Kerala to have partnered with Invisalign.
