‘Amritanjali’ – Audio Visual Studio Inaugurated at Amrita Mysuru Campus

The newly-constructed Audio Visual Studio ‘Amritanjali’ was inaugurated by Mr. T. S. Nagabharana, National Award Winner, Producer, Director and Mr. H. R. Ranganath, leading journalist, Chairman and Managing Director, Public TV, at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Mysuru campus, on April 25, 2016. 

Considering the need and the challenges to meet the requirement of imparting high quality education in the field of Visual Media and Communication, the department of Visual Media and Communication in Amrita has set up a state-of-the-art production studio. The studio which is equipped with the latest hardware and software to provide hands-on skill-based training to the students of Visual Communication has been fitted with Sony 4k Camera, high-end Mac machine with Black Magic video switcher, Steinberg audio interface, Chroma-key setup etc. A separate audio-booth is equipped with Rhode Microphones supported by Mac systems for audio recording. The main studio consists of multipoint cool lights with a dedicated digital dimmer control. The studio also has provision for high quality Chroma-Key process. Digital photography using DSLR camera and multipoint lighting is made possible in the studio.Audio video editing process is supported by FCR & Logic-Pro. Animation program is supported with high end rendering machine.The control room is equipped with Mac editing system supported by Final Cut Pro (FCP) and Adobe Premier, Apple logic Pro for audio, Maya for 3D Animation and Adobe After effects for VFX.
