• You are going to take a computer based online Test at a workstation.
  • You are required to be present in the Test Centre 45 minutes before the starting time of the Test as specified in the admit card.
  • No candidate will be allowed to enter the Examination Hall 30 minutes after the starting of the Examination.
  • Do not carry any of your belongings inside the exam centre including mobile phone, cellular phones, pagers, palm tops, blue tooth device, or any electronic device which has the potential of misuse in cheating or unauthorized communication during the examination.
  • You are allowed to carry only pen/pencil inside the test centre.
  • You are required to produce your Hall ticket and original photo Identity Card, which bears your photograph and date of birth (Voters ID/ Aadhar Card/ Passport/PAN Card/Driving Licence/ ID Card issued by the Institute last attended/any other ID Card issued by the Central/State Governments) to prove your identity at  the registration desk.
  • At the registration desk, your identity is verified, Hall Ticket scanned, photograph and finger prints captured and assigned to a computer. 
  • For working purpose a maximum of three paper sheets will be provided at the workstation. All rough work will need to be worked in these sheets of paper and no additional material will be given for rough work. The used rough sheets to be returned to the proctors before leaving the examination hall after the completion of the test.
  • The administrator is authorized to dismiss you from the test session for any of the following reasons:
    • Creating disturbance.
    • Attempting to take the test on behalf of someone else.
    • Talking to other test taker/s.
    • Attempting to tamper with the computer system – either hardware or software.
    • If found with calculators, slide rules, pagers, cell phones, concealed microphones, wireless devices or any other material that may aid in answering questions


  • The test you are taking is the Computer Based Test AEEE of 150 minutes duration.
  • No break is permitted during the test.


  • The Online Test you are about to take has 100 Questions in 3 sections for 300 marks and the total time allowed is 150 minutes.
  • Section A:  Physics, 30 questions.
  • Section B: Chemistry, 30 questions.
  • Section C: Mathematics, 40 questions.
  • Each correct answer fetches 3 marks.
  • There is negative marking. One mark will be  deducted for every wrong answer.


  • The questions will appear in English.
  • In each of these sections, every question is followed by 4 answer options. Choose the option that is most appropriate. Indicate your answer by clicking on the circle adjacent to the option you think is right.
  • You can go to any question directly by clicking on the question number, which will appear at the bottom of the screen. The answered question number will be marked Green and the unanswered/ skipped question number will remain in blue.
  • If you are doubtful of the answer, you can mark a question for review which is indicated with an arrow mark, below the question number. This can be unmarked, once you come back to the same question at a later time.
  • If you want to change your answer to any question, you may select the question and change the answer by clicking on the appropriate answer.
  • The test closes automatically once the allotted time of 150 Minutes are over.
  • The candidate may review the answers until the final submission.
  • Candidates can submit the answers only 5 (five) minutes before the scheduled end of the examination.
  • Once the candidate completes the on-line test, he/she should be able to see the screen indicating completion of test with a thank you note.
  • Ensure that you click on “submit” as a sign of completion. Please note that once you click on the submit you cannot go back to the test.
  • No candidate shall be allowed to leave the Examination Hall before the completion of the Examination.
  • Raise your hand on completion to handover the used rough paper to the proctor/administrator.
