Camera Speaks at Amrita Kochi Offers Students a Fresh Creative Lens

Kochi: Camera Speaks, a vibrant photography event, was organised at the Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Kochi campus. Hosted by the Department of Visual Media and Communication under the Amrita School of Arts, Humanities & Commerce, the programme offered students a refreshing introduction to the world of photography along with a series of engaging competitions.

As part of the event, an exhibition featuring photographs captured by students and faculty members drew enthusiastic participation. Film actor Vishnu Unnikrishnan inaugurated the event as the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, he shared that students are fortunate to receive such platforms that nurture creativity and artistic confidence.

Dr. U. Krishnakumar, Director of the Amrita Kochi Campus, delivered the welcome address. Dr. S. Dinesh Babu, Head of the Department of Visual Media and Communication, faculty members Gokulan Venugopal and M. A. Krishnakumar were also present.

A student-built set themed on how robots might shape the future of humanity, along with models of a classic tea shop and a traditional reception room, became key attractions at Camera Speaks. A photography contest based on diverse themes was also conducted as part of the programme.
