Abstract : Now a day's, humans are infected with various diseases. Medication is the only way to cure such diseases. Manufacturing of medicines is done in ample in today's world. During manufacturing of medicines, there may occur foils like breakage, cracks etc present in tablets or capsules. Manual inspection of such foils may be very challenging task. Image segmentation is an important technique for automation of visual inspection. Hence, it is significantly important to propose some approaches to detect these foils. In literature survey many researchers have proposed multiple procedures for identifying defects in tablet blister. In this research work we review the various methods used to identify defects in tablets sheets.
