Abstract : Microfinance is one of the most powerful tools to alleviate poverty. It is Kudumbashree which is a government organization that provides microfinance services in Kerala. This paper evaluates the Performance effectiveness in terms of training and development of Kudumbashree. The statistical tools used are One sample t test. The sample size is 300 Neighborhood members (NHG) in Kerala. The result shows that training and development of Kudumbashree is effective and it provides all the support required for a poor to start business and it also creates awareness of their responsibilities, the byelaws and schemes offered by Kudumbashree.
