Abstract : TikTok is the popular social media platform for micro videoblogging and its popularity has been increasing over recent years. Since the beginning of social lockdown, the usage of videoblogging has increased making every person in society use TikTok to showcase their talents and skills or to watch others performing. This study is about the change in usage pattern of the micro videoblogging application TikTok among individuals, during the pandemic-lockdown. This also analyses the influence of micro videoblogging platforms in society, mostly how it has affected the people of Kerala state in India. TikTok has a great influence on users, especially on youth. The research shows how TikTok, as a micro videoblogging tool, provided people with opportunities to use their time productively. The study also inspects the reasons for the increase in user engagements in this platform.
