Abstract : Groundwater is the prime source of water for human consumption, agricultural and industrial uses in several regions around the globe (Kouras et al., 2007; Jalali and Ranjbar, 2010). Because of inadequate availability of surface water, groundwater contributes more to the necessity of human actions. Groundwater is the only option to supplement the ever increasing demand of water. Nearly half of the world population is facing the problem of water shortage (Mekonnen and Hoekstra, 2016).
