Abstract : Calculations of widths of very sharp resonant or quasi bound states has become important in the light of precise measurements of lifetimes of decays of various exotic nuclei by alpha decay and due to the availability of more precise alpha nucleus potentials obtained by calculations based on mean field theoretic methods
