Abstract : Organometallic halide perovskite as Methyl Ammonium Lead iodide (MAPbI3) is the basis of current focus of solar energy materials research. Here we report acetophenone assisted pure phase MAPbI3 powder crystals synthesis for fabrication of inexpensive self-powered photodetector. The as fabricated photodetector ascertain, response time of 200 ms with detectivity ∼8.2 × 1011 jones at zero bias voltage and the SNR ∼4 × 103 under white light illumination intensity (19 mW/cm2). Wt% variation of MAPbI3 reveals that 20 wt% of the perovskite crystals in carbon matrix is better candidate for a compatible photodetector. © 2019 Elsevier B.V.
