Abstract : In this paper, a planar crossover derived from circular patch with two orthogonal sets of feed is presented. The electrical length of the microstrip circular patch antenna is increased by incorporating slots at the center achieving area reduction and better isolation in comparison with parent crossover. The proposed crossovers are analyzed using ANSYS HFSS, and an isolation better than -22 dB and transmission ∼0 dB is observed at the frequency range of operation. The proposed crossover is the potential candidate for Butler Matrix in Beamforming applications. © 2016 IEEE.
