Abstract : RFID technology is a similar to barcode technology with the difference being that it does not require any clear line of sight condition for object detection. The chipless tag used in the RFID technology is aimed for reducing the cost. With an increase in the number of bit, the tag dimension as well as the cost also increases. A resonator based chipless tag is realized in this paper using spiral resonating structure for ultra-high frequency (UHF) of 2.6 GHz which is having stop band filter response. The realized tag is simulated and experimental results are analyzed to ensure the reliability of the proposed idea.
