Abstract : The dye extracts have been obtained from Hibiscus Vitifolins (HV) and Sesbania Aegyptiaca (SA). These dye extracts have been applied on both bleached cotton and silk fabrics. Excellent colour shades and hues resulted on cotton and silk cloth samples when dyed using pre-mordanting, post-mordanting and simultaneous mordanting methods. The samples have shown good light and rubbing fastness properties.
