Abstract : This paper is an experimentation of achieving super premium efficiency (IE4) of a 3.7Kw, 4 pole, Foot mounted,3 phase induction motor. To achieve this task in a cost-efficient manner, this experiment is carried out using the existing International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) stampings, instead of developing a new stamping profile. The Rotor of the motor is die-casted with copper (Diecast Copper Rotor) to improve efficiency. The motor is built after the simulation results of different iterations carried out using the ANSYS Maxwell software, from which the performance characteristics of the motor is obtained. The hardware is tested in real time with respect to the Bureau of Indian Standards under 12615: 2018.
