Abstract : One of the possible serious outcomes of intestinal obstruction could be perforation which is a surgical emergency. Most common presentation is in age group between 30 to 40 years with two thirds being males. Such foreign bodies are usually plastic, aluminium, or glass bottle, egg plant, carrot etc. A 65-year-old elderly male had constipation for four days. On the fourth day, he complained of intolerable abdominal pain following which he was taken to a nearby hospital but was brought dead. During medicolegal autopsy, a plastic bottle (Parachute) was found to be perforating and protruding through sigmoid colon. Cases with complications following foreign body insertion usually do not receive an early clinical attention. Timely intervention in such scenario can prevent serious complications and can save a patient's life. The medicolegal implications in such cases should be taken into consideration.
