Abstract : Terahertz photoconductive antenna (THz-PCA) has drawn a lot of interest lately because of its potential to have very promising uses in ultra-high-speed wireless communication, imaging, and sensing. The design, simulation and performance analysis of a photoconductive antenna with sawtooth electrodes are presented in this paper. The simulation outcomes of the suggested antenna show a high gain of about 5.83 dBi, demonstrating high efficiency, miniaturization, and THz system compatibility. The proposed antenna design introduces a dual sawtooth structure optimized for a resonant frequency of 0.644 THz, ensuring improved impedance matching and minimized return loss of about - 16 dB making it suitable for imaging and sensing applications.
