Abstract : The Mirabilis jalapa stem were collected, dried and studied to determine the various parameters of pharmacognostical standards such as ash and extractive values, microscopical characters of stem powder phytochemical tests. The shade dried powder and different types of extracts (viz., aqueous, benzene, chloroform, dichloromethane, methanol) have been analyzed for their preliminary phytochemical tests.
