Abstract : Although attribute-based signature (ABS) offers a promising mechanism to ensure the authenticity of Industrial-internet-of-things (IIoT) communications, it faces a threefold challenge in practical deployment, namely the linearly increasing signature generation and verification costs, and the signer identity leakage. We positively address, in this paper, these challenges by proposing an efficient signature-policy attribute-based server-aided verification signature for IIoT called SPySAVer. We employ offline-online and server-aided verification frameworks to make signing and signature verification processes lightweight, respectively. To realize perfect signer privacy, we use Boolean formula with and operators to create a signature. Rigorous security analysis demonstrates that SPySAVer is unforgeable, perfectly private and server-aided verification secure. The experimental evaluations exhibit that the proposed SPySAVer is efficient and practical.
