Abstract : This research investigates the limited access to safe drinking water in Krishnappa Nagara, Bengaluru, which serves 900 plots and 5000 residents. This study addressed two critical issues: the summer water shortage, where 50% of residents resort to purchasing water and 40% lack toilet connections due to inconsistent supply, and waste disposal challenges characterized by irregular clearance of public dustbins and conflicts over collection timings, resulting in improper disposal and mosquito breeding. The process involved meticulously mapping and documenting resources, exploring the village to observe and analyze various aspects, and tracking economic activities for financial insights. Monitoring income and expenditure patterns, visualizing relationships within the community, and recording seasonal variations and their impacts were also key components. Ultimately, innovative ideas and solutions were collaboratively generated while identifying and analyzing the core issues faced by the villagers. Findings allow for recommendations regarding sustainable water resource management practices using community-based approaches for long-term improvement of living standards
