The Jivamritam initiative — community-managed, decentralised purification across 320 rural & peri-urban communities (SDG 6). E4LIFE PhD research (Mithun Raj, 2026 — iScience Q1, IF 4.1) across 906 households in 54 communities, 6 states, identifies perceived severity, ease of access, social norms and institutional trust as primary adoption drivers.

Communities facing institutional distrust receive transparency mandates, public ledgers, capacity-building and grievance channels. Local ‘Community Champions’ build positive descriptive norms and align outreach with regional cultural values — modelled via an Enhanced Theory of Change.

Solar-Hybrid Lemongrass Distillation, Valaramkunnu (E4LIFE PhD — Clément Baudouin-van Os, 2026, IEEE Access) restored livelihoods of 55 Paniya, Kattunayakan & Kurichiya tribal households. 76 adoption factors across 8 dimensions; RSM optimization (10 kg, 126°C, 40 min, 50 ml/batch); 75% CO₂ reduction vs firewood; women operate autonomously.

Bridges engineering design and community constraints — 76 ethnographic adoption factors translated into 15 hardware redesigns via Human-Centered Design (colour-coded controls, LED feedback, hybrid solar-electric-gas energy). C2C framework adapts ADDIE to oral traditions: 63% knowledge gain over two months.
