Amrita College of Nursing, Kochi, conducted an awareness session for students by Bodhini on November 1, 2016. Bodhini is an awareness programme on violence against women and on child abuse.
Students from Amrita Health Sciences Campus, Kochi won the championships of the inter-campus basketball tournament (both men and women) held at Amritapuri, Kollam from September 8th-10th, 2016. Ram Vibhakar of 4th year BDS was selected as the Best Player of the Tournament.

Swami Amritaswarupananda Puri, Vice-Chairman, Mata Amritanandamayi Math and President, Board of Management, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, recently addressed faculty, staff and students at the 13th convocation ceremony held at Coimbatore campus on August 21, 2016.

In connection with 70th Independence Day of India a variety of programmes were organized at the Amrita Health Sciences Campus, Kochi. A candle light freedom march, “Azaadi 70”, in remembrance of the sacrifices of freedom fighters (Yaadkaro Qurbani) was organized on August 11, 2016.
The 13th Convocation of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham will be held on August 21, 2016 (10:00 AM) at Coimbatore campus. Dr. P. Chitra, Professor, Department of Child Health Nursing, Amrita College of Nursing, Kochi, was awarded ‘Rashtriya Gaurav Award’ at a Seminar on Economic Growth and National Integration organized by India International Friendship Society (IIFS) at New Delhi on June 9, 2016. She received the certificate of excellence for her meritorious services, outstanding performance and remarkable role.
Dr. P. Chitra, Professor, Amrita College of Nursing, received the Outstanding Woman Educator & Scholar Award for her exemplary contribution to teaching and scholarly activities..
