Amrita Technology Enabling Center Launched at Amritavarsham66

The Mata Amritanandamayi Math launched Technology Enabling Centre in Kerala as per the vision of the Government of India’s Department of Science and Technology to have one centre per state to serve as an ecosystem for technology development. These “Technology Enabling Centres” will network researchers, institutes, national laboratories and industrialists to help researchers with market studies, characterizing, productizing, and scaling of innovations to fit the needs of the Government, MSMEs, NGOs and Corporates. The centre was inaugurated in the presence of Amma by Sri. Anurag Singh Thakur, Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs, Government of India.

Jharkhand Governor Visits AMMACHI Labs Skill Development Center

Honorable Governor of Jharkhand, Smt. Draupadi Murmu, visited Amrita Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) special projects hub center in Jonha, Ranchi, Jharkhand on September 14, 2019. She took a keen interest in visiting Amrita's AMMACHI Labs Skill Development Center when she heard about it during her visit to Women Empowerment event organized by the Sevabharathi campus.

Amrita in Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2020

In the 2020 edition of the annual rankings released, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham has been placed in the list of 601-800 category. The rankings are partly based on publication, citation data and key performance indicators relating to research, teaching, knowledge transfer and international activity. Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham is the only Private Indian University according to Times Higher Education BRICS University Rankings.

Graduation Day 2019 at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Mysuru Campus

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham Mysuru campus celebrated its graduation day on September 15, 2019, at its premises in Bogadi 2nd stage. Medals and certificates for the rank holders were given away by Sampujya Swami Amritageetananda Puri and the distinguished guests. In total, 373 students received their degrees during the graduation ceremony, including ten gold medalists and eight silver medalists in addition to other rank holders.
