FREE Sexual and Reproductive Health-Care Services for Students & Staff

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham is committed to the holistic well-being of our students. To support their journey toward a healthier and more informed life, we provide access to sexual and reproductive health-care services through both face-to-face and online consultations, along with educational programs designed to promote awareness and inclusivity.

1. Health-Care Access

• Confidential Consultations: Students can consult certified medical professionals for guidance on contraception, menstrual health, reproductive health concerns, and more.
• Face-to-Face Consultations: Visit the college clinic to meet our doctors and support staff for personalized care. The clinic operates in a private, non-judgmental environment to ensure student comfort.
• On-Campus Medical Facilities:
  • Access to contraceptive counseling and distribution (e.g., condoms, oral contraceptives).
  • STI (Sexually Transmitted Infection) screenings, education, and treatment.
  • Specialized care for gynecological and hormonal health issues.
• Emergency Support: 24/7 medical assistance is available for urgent health needs, including post-exposure prophylaxis and crisis care.

2. Educational Programs

• Workshops and Seminars:
  • Topics include reproductive health, safe practices, gender equality, and menstrual hygiene.
  • Focused discussions on understanding consent and tackling social stigma.
• Peer Education Programs:
  • Student volunteers trained to provide peer-to-peer guidance and support.
• Interactive Events:
  • Participate in campaigns during global events like World AIDS Day and International Women’s Day.

3. Psychological and Emotional Support

How to Book an Appointment

Online Consultation:

1. Visit the university’s health portal or app.
2. Select your preferred doctor and time slot.
3. Receive a confirmation email with the consultation link.

Face-to-Face Consultation:

Students are welcome to visit the college clinic during operational hours to meet our doctors and medical staff in person. Appointments can be scheduled in advance or on a walk-in basis for urgent needs.

• Clinic Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM; Saturday, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM.
