Amrita Team Excels on ELGI Technology Day 2019

ELGi Equipment, Coimbatore, celebrated 2nd edition of the “State of the Future Art” themed Technology Day at the Le Meridien, Coimbatore on December 15, 2019. The event saw participation from 200+ employees, the academia, and students from over 20 engineering colleges across India and industry thought leaders. Students were invited to author papers on “Energy efficiency and creating a greener environment”.

Vidyut 2020: A Multi-Fest Dedicated to Knowledge, Technology and Entertainment

The students of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri Campus hosted a national level intercollegiate multi fest ‘Vidyut’ from January 31 to February 1, 2020. With a huge participation of 10000+ students from several colleges all across the state, the event was a grand one.

Recently Mr. Dominic Cummings, Chief Political Strategist for Mr. Boris Jhonson Prime Minister of United Kingdom wrote a blog suggesting the need to revamp the decision making strategies employed in UK. Primarily he focused on the need to explore and exploit state of the art tools and techniques from mathematics and physics. Mr. Cummings wants to create a set of experts consisting of Physicists, Mathematicians and Data Scientists to deal with the major social and economic issues of UK.

Ayurveda Research Director at WHO Working Group Meeting

Dr. P. Rammanohar (Research Director, Amrita School of Ayurveda) chaired the three days WHO working group meeting for the development of standard terminology documents in Ayurveda held at Gujarat Ayurved University, Jamnagar from December 2-4, 2019, along with Prof. Dominik Wujastyk (University of Alberta, Canada). Susan Shaw (Associate Dean from Auckland University of Technology) and Saketh Ram (CCRAS, India) were the rapporteurs.
