Proteomics and Antivenomics of Snake Venom

Through this project we aim at to characterize the protein components from the venom of medically important snake species found in the Western Ghats region in Kerala through mass spectrometry-assisted proteomic experiments. The immunological cross-reactivity of the venom proteins against different antivenoms are assessed throughELISA, Immunoblotting and Immunoaffinity chromatography techniques.
