Bio

Dr. S. S. Kalaivani is an accomplished Assistant Professor at the Amrita School of Artificial Intelligence, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore, with a distinguished background in chemistry and environmental remediation. She earned her Ph.D. in Chemistry from Anna University (2011–2014), where her doctoral research focused on the innovative removal of heavy metal ions using synthetic polymeric resins and chemically modified cellulose, contributing to sustainable environmental solutions. Dr. Kalaivani holds both M.Sc. and B.Sc. degrees in Chemistry from Bharathiar University. Her academic career spans several prestigious institutions, including Anna University, CBM College, and EASA College of Engineering and Technology, where she has gained rich experience in teaching and research over the years. In addition to her teaching role, Dr. Kalaivani served as a Faculty Associate at the School of Artificial Intelligence, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, expanding her expertise in interdisciplinary research for 1.5 years. She has published over 23 peer-reviewed articles on topics such as polymer chemistry, nanomaterials, material informatics, and computational chemistry, and her research continues to innovate in developing sustainable materials for environmental and industrial applications.
