Jagadeesh Kota, Swayam Agrahari, and Harigovind, members of amFOSS at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, have been awarded the WikiConference India 2026 Scholarship and will represent the university at the conference in Kochi.
WikiConference India is a national gathering of Wikimedians, developers, educators, and community leaders working towards advancing free and open knowledge across India and South Asia. The fully funded scholarship recognizes active contributors to the Wikimedia ecosystem, enabling recipients to fully participate in the conference.
Their selection reflects both individual dedication to the Wikimedia movement and the collaborative culture fostered by amFOSS at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. The university looks forward to the knowledge, perspectives, and connections they will bring back from the conference.
Congratulations to Jagadeesh Kota, Swayam Agrahari, and Harigovind on this well-deserved recognition.
