An Electric and Integrated approach to Brief Therapies symposium conducted by the School of Social and Behavioral Sciences (SSBS) was held at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. The event brought together 210 students and practitioners in Psychology and Social Work to explore eclectic and integrative approaches to brief therapies. 185 partcipants were from outside institutions and universities. The event provided a deep dive into Art Therapy, Transactional Analysis, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, offering participants valuable tools to address trauma, enhance interpersonal skills, and manage crises effectively.
This symposium served as a platform for learning, collaboration, and professional growth, equipping attendees with practical strategies for real-world therapeutic settings. On the second day of the symposium, students of the SSBS, Coimbatore presented a brief but extraordinarily enticing and enthralling cultural programme that included classical and non-classical forms of dancing and singing.
At the end of the symposium, many participants expressed their interest in having more extended versions of such kinds of exercises at Amrita Viswa Vidyapeetham and also expressed their satisfaction with the curriculum and activities included in the symposium.
