Abstract : Data security is one of the major concern that worries individuals and organizations over the world. One approach to make data less vulnerable is to implement Intrusion Prevention System in databases. In this paper, we introduce an Intrusion Prevention System, using the concept of Counting Bloom Filters. Log Based Clustering algorithm is also used for prevention purpose. The system act as a middleware between the client application and database. Experiments were carried out with several databases which shows that our system can effectively prevent intrusions. Transactions identified as malicious by the system will get roll backed.
