National Level Inter Collegiate Multifest Vidyut 2025 Kicks Off at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri Campus

The much-anticipated, the premier National Level Inter Collegiate Multifest, was inaugurated at the Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri campus, marking a grand beginning to three days of innovation, competition, and cultural celebration.

The inaugural ceremony was launched by Dr. Shankar Venugopal, Vice President – Technology Innovation, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd, Chennai. Esteemed chief guests at the event included Mrs. Ramachandran, Principal Consultant, Infosys Knowledge Institute, Bangalore; Mr. Ananthan Ayyasamy, CEO, Tengashi Semiconductors, Tengashi; and Mr. G Vijayaraghavan, Founder CEO – Technopark, Thiruvananthapuram and former Member of Kerala State Planning Board.

The event featured an engaging panel discussion and lecture on the theme, “21st Century; India’s Century,” highlighting India’s growing role on the global stage and the opportunities it presents for the youth and innovators of the country.

Spanning over seventy events, Vidyut 2025 encompasses twenty-five technical workshops, hackathons, drone workshops, and competitions, alongside lecture series designed to foster knowledge and innovation among the collegiate community. The festival also includes a much-anticipated Grand Auto Expo—branded as Fifth Stroke—showcasing vehicles from across India and beyond.

In addition, the multifest will host cultural performances by renowned artists such as Haricharan and the Masala Coffee Band, adding vibrancy and entertainment to the technical festivities.

With an expected footfall of over 5,000 participants, Vidyut 2025 promises to be a landmark event fostering innovation, learning, and cultural exchange.

Dr. Balakrishnan Shankar, Dean of the School of Engineering; Brahmachari Achyuthamrita Chaitanya, Principal of the Amrita School of Spiritual and Cultural Studies; and Dr. S.N. Jyothi, Associate Dean of the Department of Engineering, were also present at the inauguration.”
