Bio

Dr. Umashankar Subramaniam is a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Lab In-charge of Renewable Energy Lab at Amrita School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore. He brings over two decades of experience in teaching, research, and academic leadership, with prior appointments at reputed institutions including Prince Sultan University, Saudi Arabia and VIT University, Vellore. His areas of expertise include renewable energy systems, electric vehicles, power electronics, and smart grid technologies. He has led strategic initiatives, research collaborations, lab establishments, and international partnerships across academia and industry.
