Amrita Vidyalayam Students Showcase Innovation at Atal Tinkering Labs Exhibition During Amritavarsham 72

The Atal Tinkering Labs (ATLs), an initiative by the Atal Innovation Mission (AIM), NITI Aayog, are creative workspaces designed to nurture innovation, curiosity, and STEM learning among school students. Equipped with 3D printers, robotics kits, and digital tools, these labs empower young minds to explore, experiment, and develop solutions for real-world challenges.

For the past nine years, AMMACHI Labs researchers have been supporting ATL setups across Amrita Vidyalayam schools in India, mentoring students through the Second Foundation Initiative to transform innovative ideas into impactful social projects.

As part of the Amritavarsham 72 celebrations, seven Amrita Vidyalayam ATL schools—Mangaluru, Nagapattinam, Trichy, Chennai, Puthiyakavu, Thalassery, and Amrita Kairali Vidya Bhavan (Trivandrum)—came together on September 26–27, 2025, to showcase their most creative innovations.

The two-day exhibition attracted over 1,000 visitors, including young entrepreneurs, university faculty, and students, who applauded the participants’ ingenuity and provided valuable feedback. The event concluded with a felicitation ceremony by AYUDH, honoring all student teams and teachers for their outstanding creativity and collaborative spirit.

This exhibition exemplified how early access to technology, mentorship, and experiential learning can inspire students to become the innovators and changemakers of tomorrow.
