A On the occasion of World Meditation Day, a 30-minute guided audio meditation session was conducted across several Amrita SeRVe villages, bringing together women and children in a shared experience of calm, mindfulness, and reflection.
The programme was observed in Sarai (Uttar Pradesh) and in the villages of Kanti, Bheeri, Mosaria, Ratanpur, and Thariyal. A total of 96 women and children actively participated in the session, creating a collective space for inner balance and emotional well-being within their communities.
The guided meditation helped participants slow down, focus inward, and experience a sense of peace and togetherness. Such initiatives play an important role in nurturing mental wellness at the grassroots level, especially among women and children, by encouraging practices that support emotional resilience and community harmony.
Reflecting the spirit of the observance, Amma reminds us:
“Our efforts to remove hatred and indifference from the world begin by trying to remove them from our own mind.”
The World Meditation Day activities across Amrita SeRVe villages reaffirmed the value of mindfulness as a simple yet powerful practice to cultivate compassion, balance, and collective well-being in everyday life.
