Republic Day Celebrations Across Women’s Empowerment Initiatives in Sheo Constituency, Rajasthan

Republic Day was commemorated across villages in the Sheo Constituency, Rajasthan, through a series of meaningful engagements led by AMMACHI Labs, reaffirming the spirit of India’s independence while highlighting women’s inherent strength, dignity, and self-reliance.

Across project locations, the celebrations served as a reminder that national progress is deeply connected to empowerment at the grassroots—where confidence, skills, and collective participation shape lasting change.

In Girabh village, the newly introduced SMART Self-Help Group (SHG) project was formally launched with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp (Amma Deep Prajwalit). The session brought together twenty-two women who participated in interactive discussions introducing Amma and Her mission, outlining the vision and objectives of the SMART SHG initiative, and engaging in ice-breaker role-play activities designed to build confidence and encourage collective expression.

Meanwhile, in Harsani village, Republic Day was observed at the Women’s Empowerment Center with the hoisting of the national flag. The occasion was followed by a hands-on training session where women continued developing practical skills in sewing machine operation and hand stitching—strengthening pathways toward livelihood generation and economic independence.

At Center for Women’s Empowerment & Gender Equality, these observances reflect a broader belief that transformative work at the micro level directly contributes to the nation’s larger vision. Celebrating India’s milestones, the center emphasizes, must go hand in hand with empowering its people—especially women who form the backbone of resilient communities.
