Abstract : Knowledge management is used to record the activity of senior professionals to make it available to their followers so as to carry out their future work effectively. In the current scenario, effectiveness in management is a key contributor to a profitable organization. The effectiveness in managing knowledge in an organisation thus rise to begin by having an impact from a turbulent organization by considering the effect of an increasing need of knowledge management in an organization .The prior need for the knowledge management includes the potency to stimulate employees which is applicable in an organisation’s succession planning. Providing the employees with a good career opportunity and chances to improve without leaving the organisation might become important factor which attracts and retains the worthy employees. It aims to gear up the proximity to information and manage knowledge about succession planning. Management in knowledge helps to search the information or the people who has the information. The employees can increase decision making speed and effectiveness in adapting the information of the whole organization at the time they need it. They enable and encourage the sharing of thoughts, cooperating and proximity to the current information. They speed up the effectiveness of the operating units in organization and process in business. Exchanging of information and cross co-operation helps to improve the worth given to consumers. Reusing ideas, documents and expertise are the knowledge management in organizations. It will avoid mistake happening twice. It will help for promoting standard, repeatable process and procedures in succession planning of an organization.
