Bio

Dr. C.R. Kesavulu is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physics at the Amrita School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amaravati Campus, Andhra Pradesh, India. where he joined in May 2025.

He received his Ph.D. degree in Physics from Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati, AP, India in November 2011. After completing his Ph.D., he worked as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow and Research Professor for three years in South Korea, and later as a FAPESP Post-Doctoral Fellow- one of the world’s most prestigious fellowships for two years in Brazil. During his Ph.D., he spent nine months as a visiting student under the UKIERI Collaborative Research Programme on “Ultrashort Pulse Laser Waveguide Inscription in Glasses for Integrated Optics” at the School of Engineering and Physical Sciences, Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, Scotland, UK. Moreover, he worked as a Research Associate for four years at the SiC Laboratory, Centre for Materials for Electronics Technology (C-MET), Hyderabad, India, under the DRDO-sponsored research project (SP-35) entitled “Silicon Carbide (SiC) Single Crystal Bulk Growth Process Development for High Power Semiconductor Device Applications.

Furthermore, Dr. C.R. Kesavulu have been recognized in the world’s top 2% scientist’s ranking of researchers in Applied Physics, based on a subject-wise analysis conducted by Stanford University, USA. This is based on the citation matrices and counts the life-time contributions made by scientists for their single-year contributions of 2022, 2023 and 2025 Scopus data, Elsevier Research Intelligence and SciTech strategies.
