Sheo, Rajasthan | April 9, 2026 : In a powerful display of skill, confidence, and community spirit, 20 women from Harsani village presented their handcrafted creations at a vibrant exhibition following three months of intensive training at a solar-powered Women’s Empowerment Center.

The initiative, aimed at fostering self-reliance and income generation, has marked a significant milestone in the lives of the participants. Trained by skilled experts, the women developed a diverse range of abilities—from hand stitching techniques to designing both traditional and contemporary garments.

The exhibition featured an impressive array of handmade products, including saree blouses, ghagras, baby frocks, tote bags, purses, and intricate embroidery work. Among the highlights, scrunchies and embroidered bags stood out for their creativity and appeal.

The event drew participation from over 50 women and girls in the village, creating an atmosphere of encouragement and inspiration. For many of the trainees, the exhibition was more than a showcase—it was a moment of pride and validation. Several participants shared their joy in earning through their newly acquired skills, marking a meaningful step toward financial independence.

Beyond individual achievements, the initiative underscores the broader impact of skill-based training in rural communities. By equipping women with practical skills and opportunities, such programs not only enhance livelihoods but also build confidence and inspire collective progress.
