Women-Led Water Stewardship (WISE)

Community-owned safe drinking water at scale across 16 states. Modular, low-cost, low-maintenance purification units for remote villages — reliable potable water without centralised dependency, integrated with IoT sensors for real-time quality tracking and remote alerts.
Energy-aware floating sensor buoys across river stretches over LoRa networks — continuous low-power monitoring of turbidity, pH, dissolved oxygen, conductivity and heavy metals, enabling early pollution alerts at minimal infrastructure cost.
A participatory geospatial platform that enables communities to map, measure and manage their water resources through real-time data collection and sustainability assessment. The platform benchmarks local conditions against national standards and generates localized, data-driven solutions for water security.
An IoT-enabled remote sensing platform for continuous monitoring and mapping of community water sources, providing real-time insights into water quality and health risks. The system supports early detection of contamination and enables data-driven interventions to improve water security in vulnerable communities.
Real-time monitoring of water quality and quantity across community pipelines using IoT sensor arrays. Remote dashboards, leak detection and consumption analytics, with chlorine decay modelling and lab-scale network simulation for predictive water safety.
Women-led monitoring across Kerala & Tanzania covering 2,500 households, co-developed with Israeli partners. Women-SHGs trained as community water sentinels. Research spans photocatalytic contaminant removal, C. elegans toxicity assessment, HDH desalination and nanotech filtration.
A digital social innovation initiative that addresses urban water supply and sanitation challenges through living labs, stakeholder co-design and nature-based engineering solutions. The project integrates technology, community participation and institutional planning to develop sustainable and scalable water management models.
