Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham participated in the 4th Annual Responsible Management Education (RME) Week – PRME Global Forum 2026, held from June 28 to July 1, 2026, at the Onsi Sawiris School of Business, Cairo. The global forum brought together educators, researchers, and institutional leaders from around the world to advance responsible management education under the theme “Counting on Collective Values.”
As a charter member of the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME), an initiative of the United Nations Global Compact, the Amrita School of Business was represented by Dr. Maneesha Vinodini Ramesh, Pro Vice Chancellor, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham; Dr. Raghu Raman, Dean, Amrita School of Business; Dr. Krishna Nandanan, Assistant Professor, School for Sustainable Futures; andMr. Renjith Mohan, Program Manager, Live-in-Labs®.
The Amrita delegation presented a featured session titled “Amrita Live-in-Labs®: International, Community-Embedded Compassionate Research for Impact,” highlighting the University’s internationally recognized Live-in-Labs® programme. The session demonstrated how students and faculty live and work alongside rural communities to co-develop practical, Sustainable Development Goal (SDG)-aligned solutions through long-term engagement, experiential learning, and participatory research.
The presentation explored how community-embedded research, supported by international collaboration, can translate global partnerships into meaningful local outcomes. It also shared the Live-in-Labs® approach as a model for integrating education, research, and social innovation while strengthening collaboration between universities and communities.
Participants gained insights into designing inclusive, community-centred research initiatives that foster sustainable development and create measurable impact. The session also highlighted the role of higher education institutions in preparing socially responsible leaders through immersive learning and interdisciplinary collaboration.
RME Week serves as a global platform for advancing responsible management education and strengthening collaboration among universities committed to sustainability, ethics, and the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Amrita’s participation at the PRME Global Forum 2026 reflects the University’s continued engagement with global academic networks and its commitment to sharing scalable models of experiential learning and community-centred research that contribute to sustainable development.
