Nrithya Jagannathan is a senior yoga therapist in the Krishnamacharya tradition and a direct disciple of Yogacharya Sri T. K. V. Desikachar for over 14 years. With more than 22 years of teaching experience, she is the Director of the KYM Institute of Yoga Studies and a certified yoga therapist (C-IAYT). She has taught Yoga, Yoga Therapy, and Vedic Chanting internationally and serves as Chairperson of the IYA Tamil Nadu State Subcommittee for Academic Courses and Examinations.
She has received several honours, including the Yogini Award (2023), Yoga Lakshmi Award, and the prestigious Yoga Cikitsa Acarya title from the Indian Yoga Association. A professional Bharatanatyam artiste with nearly four decades of experience, she has performed widely in India and abroad and received titles such as Yuva Kala Bharathi and Nritya Jyoti. She is also the author of three books, including Purnameva – A Return to Completeness.
